What to expect
A PDF stores every line of text at a fixed position on the page. A good conversion has to work out which lines belong to the same paragraph, where the columns are and which boxes form a table, then rebuild them as normal Word content. That's what this converter does, so you can edit the result like any document instead of fighting a page full of text boxes.
Simple layouts like letters, reports, CVs and contracts come out closest to the original. Magazine-style pages with many overlapping elements may need a little tidying afterwards. If your PDF is a scan (a photo of paper), there's no text inside it to convert: run OCR first, then convert the searchable PDF to Word.
Fonts that are embedded in the PDF but not installed on your computer are replaced with the closest match in Word, so line breaks can shift slightly. Check headers, footers and page numbers after converting.

Will the Word file be editable?
Yes. Text comes back as normal paragraphs you can type into, and tables come back as real Word tables, not pictures or floating text boxes.
Can it convert a scanned PDF to Word?
A scan is a picture of text, so there's nothing to extract yet. Use our OCR tool first to make it searchable, then convert that PDF to Word.
Is this really a one-time payment?

Do you keep a copy of my PDF?
No. Your file is processed in memory and permanently deleted as soon as you download the result, or after 15 minutes if you don't.
