Terms of service

These terms apply when you use PDF Canary (https://pdfcanary.com), operated by Nathaniel Lachapelle (Ontario, Canada).

The service

PDF Canary converts and edits files. Each paid conversion is a one-time purchase of that single result. There is no subscription and no recurring charge.

Your files

You may only upload files that you own or have the right to use. You're responsible for the content of your files. Don't upload anything illegal. We don't claim any rights to your files, and we delete them as described in our privacy policy.

Payments and refunds

The price is shown before you pay. You pay once through Stripe. Refunds are available for 7 days as described on the refunds page.

No guarantee of perfect results

File conversion depends on the source file. We work hard to produce accurate results, but some layouts, fonts or scanned documents may not convert perfectly. If a result doesn't work for you, ask for a refund.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to a conversion is limited to the amount you paid for it. Keep a copy of your original files.

Copyright complaints

We don't host or publish files, but if you have a concern, contact support@pdfcanary.com.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the place where you live.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version.
