How to use Compress PDF on Windows

Can Windows do this on its own?
Windows has no built-in PDF compressor. Printing to Microsoft Print to PDF sometimes shrinks a file, but it turns text into flat content and loses links, so a proper compressor keeps the document intact.
Opening the result on Windows
Your PDF is saved to your Downloads folder, which you can open from File Explorer's left sidebar. Double-click it: Microsoft Edge opens PDFs by default and can highlight, fill forms and add notes.
