What to expect
Scanning a double-sided document on a single-sided scanner produces all the fronts first and all the backs after. Reordering interleaves them again. It's also handy for moving an executive summary to the front or an appendix to the end.
List every page once in the new order. Pages are moved, not re-rendered, so quality and selectable text are preserved.

Page numbers always refer to the current position of each page in the file, counting from 1.

Do I have to list every page?
Yes. Each page must appear exactly once so nothing is lost. To drop pages, use Extract PDF pages instead.
Can it fix a double-sided scan?
Yes. Set the order to alternate fronts and backs, like 1, 6, 2, 7, 3, 8, and the pages are interleaved correctly.
Does reordering change quality?
No. Pages are moved exactly as they are, with no re-compression, so text stays sharp and selectable.
Is the original file changed?
No. You download a new PDF; the original stays as it was.
